Things to do before going to the device usage area:

  • General control of its physical structure; whether any bolts and nuts are missing or loose.
  • Checking battery charge level with battery indicator.
  • Checking whether the remote control is working or not.
  • Checking that the remote control and trap device serial numbers match.
  • Checking parts, such as carrying arms and wheels, are in normal condition.
  • Checking whether the rubber feet are in place.
  • Operating status control; turning the device on and off once for testing.

While the device is turned on and in a stable position at the duty station:

  • Checking if the front cover is open.
  • Checking for any extraneous matter or obstructive element entering through the cover.
  • Checking whether the device’s start button is at “AÇIK” (ON) position.
  • Checking of the device’s ideal distance, which is 35 meters.
  • In case the device is turned on; checking whether there is an obstacle in the opening direction of the trap-scissor.

Once the device is turned on and off (Post Operation):

  • Checking whether stones, soil or anything that may prevent use, has entered inside the device body.
  • Replacement of trap-scissors; if there is deformation in the trap-scissor assembly.
  • Replacement of the nail and its tool, if missing or deformed.
  • Visual inspection of the mechanical part by opening the covers and maintaining it with a dirt-rust cleaner spray. (CAUTION should be taken to avoid hand contact or placing hands between the mechanisms.)
  • Checking that the nails on the trap-scissor are in a solid position, and strengthening those that are bent or loose.
  • Checking the physical appearance of the trap-scissor system and the “end guide wheel” on the edge of trap-scissor.
  • Checking the device’s on-off operation once with safety measurements taken, after the relevant maintenance.

  • Checking whether there is any damage on the “end guide wheel” and trap-scissor elements.
  • Lightly lubricating the connection pins of the scissors with maintenance spray.
  • Battery life control with the device’s battery charging time and battery charge rate (Checking if the battery is discharged shortly after charging or its energy capacity is inefficient)
  • The ideal battery charging time is 6 hours.
  • Caution should be taken not to deform the serial number label on the device remote control.
  • Checking carrying handles, velcro straps and rubber feet.
  • General cleaning of the internal mechanism and checking the condition of parts such as cables.
  • Checking that the mechanism opens and closes normally once without scissors.
  • Device mechanism rail-car cleaning and lubrication.
  • Checking battery indicator panel and on-off switch on control unit.
  • Checking the remote’s battery, on-off button and operating buttons.
  • Checking condition of protective device camouflage poncho.
